This series of works focuses on artificial intelligence – perhaps the most pressing and contested tool of our time. The short films go beyond AI’s gimmicks or mass trends, revealing it as a creative partner in experimental video art. Here, AI is used to reimagine memory, identity, and history, to evoke entirely new worlds and beings, and to probe the shifting boundaries of human consciousness. At times self-referential, at others expansive and poetic, the works oscillate between intimate introspection and cosmic speculation.

The screening will be followed by a presentation by Raluca Oancea on the use of AI in artistic contexts.

Raluca Oancea is a lecturer at UNArte Bucharest, where she teaches aesthetics and media art, focusing on both new and historical aesthetic categories surrounding photography, film, and digital art, as well as the relationship between new technologies and contemporary art. She is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and the European Network for Cinema and Media Studies (NECS). She also works as an independent curator and contributes essays to cultural publications.
