Anthony Pateras
— Live performance
Sunday, 5 Oct. 8 PM / Csiky Gergely Hungarian Theatre

Anthony Pateras is a composer, pianist and electroacoustic musician who has been active on international stages for more than two decades. His practice spans classical composition, free improvisation, electronics and experimental rock, with a constant focus on both the subtle and extreme transformations of sound.
His works investigate unusual acoustic and physical phenomena, moving between scores for symphony orchestras and performative explorations in smaller ensembles or solo formats. Since 1999, he has performed hundreds of concerts across Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and Aotearoa (New Zealand).
With over 50 albums released on labels such as Tzadik, Editions Mego, Ipecac, Another Timbre, Shelter Press and Hallow Ground, Pateras has built a vast discography that defies easy categorization. He is also the founder of Immediata Digital, a platform dedicated to documenting and publishing his work.
Anthony Pateras has been assisted by the Australian Government through Music Australia.
