Starting on 10 August, sound artist Mathias Guilbaud and visual artist Marina Oprea will be in Timișoara for an artistic residency as part of Urbanities, a new collaboration between SIMULTAN and SEMI SILENT.

During her residency in Timișoara, Brigitte will draw inspiration from the themes of Rivers, Relics, and Radiation, exploring possible connections between water, light, radio relics, and traces of technology in the city and its surroundings.

During the residency in Timișoara, which will take place between 7–14 July, Vanhoof will research the possibility of making the movement of a double pendulum audible.

2026 is a year of building, connection, and dialogue.
The program brings together practitioners and theorists, new co-productions, workshops for young artists, and a publication that, for the first time, maps the festival’s history through the lens of its transdisciplinary concerns.

The AnnART Archive project explores performance art and contextualizes it through an open archiving method.
During the presentation, Ágnes Evelin Kispál, Attila Kispál, and Szilárd Miklós, curators of the archive project, will talk about the archiving process and present a selection of video materials and images from the archive.

This year’s theme, RE:MEDIATE, reflects not only on the transformations brought about by mass media and technology, but also on how we might reframe, reconfigure, or reconcile broader aspects of our current reality.

RE:MEDIATE proposes a reflection on a process described by Bolter and Grusin, in which new media technologies transform previous forms and generate new structures of perception. The theme runs through the entire program, which brings together local and international artists and curatorial formulas that create a dialogue between sound, image, memory, and urban space.
