The call is open for emerging and established artists, new authors and/or students. We are looking for submissions of innovative video works related to the festival motto, created in the last two years.

We will award four video works (two romanian artists and two international artists) with a 250 Euro artist fee.

This motto is the central paradigm of the 14th edition of the SIMULTAN Festival, an event dedicated to interdisciplinary arts, artists, and musicians who experiment with different media or languages ​​of expression, such as time-based media, mainly audio-video.

The festival program includes video art screenings, live sound, and audiovisual performances, presentations, and workshops, which will take place at the Museum of Public Transport “Corneliu Mikloși” in Timișoara, between October 8-10, 2019.

The 14th edition of Simultan Festival will take place between 7-10 November 2019, under the motto ‘THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN IT WILL NOT BE’.

We are open for submissions of innovative video works, related to the festival motto, in the following categories: video; experimental video; documentary / experimental documentary; digital / generative.

Our guest for the 6th edition of the SCHIZOPHONIA sessions is Mitoș Micleușanu, bringing forward his outstanding sound art project “Angstwurm”, which is based on a hybrid setup: modular synthesis + granular processing of “emissions” of a sound object, as well as of vocal elements.

The Secondary Sonic Space is a collective and urban-inspired immersive installation.
The project is exploring the sonic landscape of Timișoara through collective action – process which essentializes the phenomenon of urban transition, memory and temporality.

A collaborative artistic project developed and co-produced by SIMULTAN / TRANSCULTURES and TIMIȘOARA 2021 – as part of the Addictive Lights programme.
