The outcomes of the workshop will be incarnated in a collective sonic art installation titled “Coloana Sonoră Infinită” intended to reflect the idea that the city is a living body, a constantly moving assemblage, a loud symphony of human and non-human voices. 

We are looking for submissions of innovative video and moving image works related to the festival theme —Desire For The Useless, produced in the last two years (2022-2024).
The call is open for both, emerging and established artists or groups and collectives.

The 19th edition of the festival will take place between 3-6 October in Timișoara, Romania.

The 4th edition of SONIC NARRATIVES invites you to discover the sounds of the city and nature hidden by the illusory sufficiency of the image.

On friday we will present a world premiere of the Megaføn Funsystem consisting of 12 custom made upcycled speakers designed and fabricated in Timisoara.
In the end though, these are just speakers and the car is just the car. What makes it so fun is us gathering together.

This is a place of merging and emerging, of making and repairing, of celebration, of gift-giving, of memory and forgetfulness. A random moment in time and space to liberate us from the man with the hammer inside all of us.

Fluid Memory by artist Ioana Vreme Moser sets up a mirror that reflects back to a digital technology that doesn’t require many resources to operate, only simple fluid matter guided by natural phenomena.
