The 4th edition of SONIC NARRATIVES invites you to discover the sounds of the city and nature hidden by the illusory sufficiency of the image.

Madames et Monsieurs, please accept our warm invitations to the Megaføn Funsystem Warmup Party!

On friday we will present a world premiere of the Megaføn Funsystem consisting of 12 custom made upcycled speakers designed and fabricated in Timisoara.
In the end though, these are just speakers and the car is just the car. What makes it so fun is us gathering together.

This is a place of merging and emerging, of making and repairing, of celebration, of gift-giving, of memory and forgetfulness. A random moment in time and space to liberate us from the man with the hammer inside all of us.

This year’s live program features artists who are actively engaged in the field of sonic art and the experimental music scene, such as
Ilpo Väisänen, Dorit Chrysler, Ana Fosca, hÄK / Danzeisen, Cosmin Nicolae & Simina Oprescu, Robert Piotrowicz, Svetlana Maraš, Thomas Ankersmit, Ioana Vreme moser […]

Open call for emerging and established artists.
We are looking for submissions of innovative video works related to the festival theme, produced in the last two years.

We are happy to share with you the complete program for the third edition of SONIC NARRATIVES, which will be held in Timișoara, along the river – May 26 – June 10.

A new edition of the project SONIC NARRATIVES is approaching. From May 26th to June 10th, artists from France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, Estonia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Norway, and Romania propose types of reading of contemporary realities through their art and invite us to reflect on the diversity of the world, but especially on its fragility.

Fluid Memory by artist Ioana Vreme Moser sets up a mirror that reflects back to a digital technology that doesn’t require many resources to operate, only simple fluid matter guided by natural phenomena.

In the frame of Paradigm Shifts, a diverse series of presentations and lectures by artists, researchers, and curators as well as a panel discussion.
Curated by Stefan Tiron, Gabriele de Setta

We are excited to welcome you to SIMULTAN Festival’s XVII edition, with an eight-day program that blends live audio-visual performances, video art screenings, exhibitions and artist talks, reflecting on the festival’s theme – The Changing and The Indeterminate.

The Harvester Bugs instruments capture Electromagnetic and Radio-magnetic waves that they can find in their proximity and amplify them using solar power. This workshop aims to introduce the participants to the area of self-powered devices and off-grid electronic machines.
