{"id":4382,"date":"2025-09-18T14:13:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T14:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.simultan.org\/?p=4382"},"modified":"2026-01-17T21:56:25","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T21:56:25","slug":"simultan-festival-xx-remediate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.simultan.org\/en\/simultan-festival-xx-remediate\/","title":{"rendered":"SIMULTAN Festival XX : REMEDIATE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1\u201312 oct 2025, Timi\u0219oara<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simultan.org\/2025\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EDITIONs WEBSITE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1930233344497134\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SIMULTAN Festival<\/a> celebrates its twentieth anniversary this fall, and the anniversary edition, held under the theme RE:MEDIATE, opens on Wednesday, October 1 at 7:00 pm, with five intense days of exhibitions, live performances, and video projections in four venues in Timi\u0219oara: Comenduirea Garnizoanei, Cinema Studio, Csiky Gergely Hungarian Theater, and the C4C hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>RE:MEDIATE<\/em> proposes a reflection on a process described by Bolter and Grusin, in which new media technologies transform previous forms and generate new structures of perception. The theme runs through the entire program, which brings together local and international artists and curatorial formulas that create a dialogue between sound, image, memory, and urban space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Garrison Command hosts a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simultan.org\/2025\/en\/exhibitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">series of exhibitions<\/a>, sound installations, and transdisciplinary projects that offer critical perspectives on the ecology, technology, and memory of the city.<br>The venue will be open to the public between 2-7 pm and extended between 2-10 pm during the NAG (October 3\u20135).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EXHIBITIONS: SIMULTAN 20: Listening Room \/ Nature after Nature \/ Coding Drops \/ Hush Glitches \/ Acousmignon 41-T (1\u20135 Oct.) \/ Timi\u0219oara Echoes \/ SEMI SILENT \u2013 Listening<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simultan.org\/2025\/en\/live-acts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The line-up<\/a> for this edition brings together artists from Romania, Italy, France, Egypt, Switzerland, Ukraine, Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia in a series of live performances that reconfigure listening as a form of critical and poetic reflection at the Garrison Command, the C4C hall, the Cinema Studio terrace, and the Csiky Gergely Hungarian Theater.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.simultan.org\/2025\/live-acts\"><br><\/a>Guest artists: Andrei Raicu x Iulia Ripan, S\u00e9bastien Robert &amp;
