The Simultan Festival is an annual festival for video, media art, experimental electronic music and a/v projects.
The festival wishes to sustain and to stimulate the creative ways of the most modern visions of perceiving and recording the cultural realities in contemporary art. It presents the current processes and the way in which technology and society give rise to new forms of artistic expression by using the new media.
Based on a different theme every year, the festival presents video art projections, live performances, installations, lectures.

It's 2010 and the world is filled with all the media players .Time is on everyone's mind so nobody really has time to understand it .The demand for media content seems to increase as all things accumulate and the time of theire unfolding becomes shorter .The less time we have the more media is available for us to invest our time in .Watching a film is like an escape and it all comes down to comparing every new moment in it to what we already know ,wondering if we've learned anything new .A cursor always moves ahead and is constantly promising satisfaction from yet another turning point in the plot .Moving towards a perfect future yet continously living in the past ,as every new experience gets rated only according to what is in our memory ,yet how can any new experience be possible without instantly questioning everything that ever came before it .Speeches on such questions can be found in countless audiobooks and before you get to play one ask yourself wheather what you are about to learn comes from the words or from more time spent by a working mind .All in all the question is this-do media players nowadays still run on media or has our human lifetime already become the thing that fuels them....
